Carbon Monoxide FlyerPer California Senate Bill 183, carbon monoxide (CO) warning devices are required in all single-family dwellings by July 1, 2011, and all other dwelling units must have carbon monoxide devices installed by January 1, 2013.  Click here to view the ICC-VRC flyer with more information about California Senate Bill 183, information for owners, acceptable CO devices, and contact information for Ventura jurisdictions.   
In addition, the California Department of Housing and Community Development has provided additional material to assist with outreach information.  Click this link to the information bulletin that discusses this subject.  The Information Bulletin provides a contact number should there be more questions.

Download IGCC PV2.0Code Council Offers Complimentary Download of New IGCC Version 2.0 The International Code Council has launched Version 2.0 of the International Green Construction Code for use as a jurisdictional tool to regulate green construction, and as a document for comment leading into the 2011 Code Development and Final Action hearings. You may access IGCC PV 2.0, including excerpts of the code's Water Provisions as free downloads, on the Code Council's website. If you have difficulty downloading these documents, please email their website support. Participate in code change proposals for consideration at the May 2011 Code Development Hearings through January 3, 2011. If you have any questions about these documents or want to learn more about the IGCC, contact them via email.

Another advantage is the ability to view ICC Evaluation Service reports on your phone.

Download a copy (Powerpoint format, 9MB) of the 2008 lighting presentation from the July 2009 ICC chapter training in Ventura. The mechanical portion of the training was cancelled by the California Energy Commission to be rescheduled based on their availability. The mechanical training is included in the original cost and the Chapter will send out notice as soon as we are able to establish a date with the CEC.  In addition, for those of you who registered for the Energy Training, a credit has be issued for free admittance to the September Green Building seminar in Calabasas.
